The BBL HERO ForeverBody treatment, from Sciton, uses intense pulsed light to target the pigment within the skin. It flashes specialized light as it is quickly moved across the treatment area. The pigment is initially darkened, helping you know that you had an optimal treatment. Within the next several days, your body's natural healing process will remove the pigmented cells and replace them with fresh, new, undamaged cells.
Each flash of the light produces a feeling of warmth. Most patients easily tolerate the feeling without needing any anesthetic numbing cream.
This can vary depending on the individual, the area being treated, and the settings used. However, most patients see results in 2–4 weeks.
You will see results from a single treatment. However, the number of treatments will depend on the severity of your pigmentation concerns. A typical patient requires two treatments.
It is important that you wear a physical barrier sunscreen, clothing, and limit your sun exposure after your treatment.

BBL HERO is an intense pulsed light system that targets pigment and redness fast across large areas. Many patients use both — Halo for resurfacing, BBL HERO for ongoing pigment maintenance.
You can treat multiple large areas in a single appointment — chest + arms, or arms + hands, etc. The HERO platform's speed is what makes full-body protocols realistic without spending hours under the laser.
BBL HERO is safe for most skin tones when settings are properly calibrated for your specific skin. That calibration is where experience matters — and as Sciton's most experienced laser provider, we know exactly how to set the device for your skin to deliver results safely. Very dark skin tones (Fitzpatrick V–VI) may not be ideal candidates; Dr. B will tell you straight during your consultation.
