Why Filler at Halo

The Product Matters. The Hand Holding It Matters More.

You can buy the same filler brands at any med spa. What you can't buy everywhere is a board-certified physician who has injected thousands of faces — and who will tell you when you don't need what you came in asking for.

Halo's approach: filler is a tool, not the treatment. The treatment is the plan Dr. B builds for your specific face — which product, in which areas, in what amounts, on what schedule. Same brands, different results.

That's why we carry the full FDA-approved filler lineup instead of just one or two products. Different faces need different products — and Dr. B picks based on your anatomy, not the menu.

Two Categories of Filler

Instant Volume vs Gradual Collagen.

All injectable fillers fall into one of two camps. The right choice depends on what you're trying to achieve.

Category 01

HA Fillers

Instant volume. Hyaluronic acid (HA) gel that immediately fills the targeted area. You see the result in real time — what you walk out with is roughly what you have a month later, after swelling settles.

Reversible if you don't like it (dissolvable with an enzyme called hyaluronidase). Most flexible category. Best starting point for first-time filler patients.

Juvederm Restylane
Category 02

Biostimulators

Gradual collagen building. Doesn't add volume directly — instead triggers your skin to produce its own new collagen over 2–3 months. Result builds slowly and looks more natural-organic.

Lasts longer than HA fillers (often 2+ years). Not reversible — that's the trade-off for the longer duration. Best for patients who want subtle, gradual restoration of facial volume.

Radiesse Sculptra

Kybella®

"The non-filler injectable — for fat reduction"

Why Dr. Banerjee

Same Filler. Different Doctor. Different Result.

Most patients shopping for filler think the product is what produces the result. It isn't. The product is identical at every practice that carries it. What changes is the eye, hands, and judgment of the person injecting it.

Dr. Banerjee personally performs every filler injection at Halo — not a delegated nurse, not a rotating injector. 20+ years of reading faces, mapping anatomy, and refining her injection technique on thousands of patients.

Dr. B's Approach to Filler

"Filler is the tool. The art is knowing which product, where, and how much. I'd rather under-fill and have you come back, than over-fill and have you come back upset."

That conservative, physician-led approach is the reason Halo patients walk out looking refreshed — not "done." It's also why Halo carries the full lineup of products instead of just one brand. Different faces need different products.

"Dr. B Told Me I Didn't Need Half of What I Came in For."

"
★★★★★

"I came in convinced I needed cheek filler. Dr. B examined me and said my cheeks were fine — what I actually needed was a small amount of Restylane under my eyes. She didn't upsell me. The result was exactly what I wanted, with one syringe instead of three. That's why I'll never go anywhere else."

Under-eye Restylane
"
★★★★★

"Did a Liquid Face Lift with Dr. B — Voluma in cheeks, a touch of Radiesse along jaw, Volbella for lip lines, Vollure in folds. Total game changer. Looked like myself but ten years ago. No surgery. Three months later I still can't stop staring."

FAQs

Common Questions.

The honest answers Dr. B would give you in the room.

Which filler should I get?

That's a question to answer in person, not on a website. The right product depends on your anatomy, what you're trying to fix, and your goals (subtle vs noticeable, short-term vs long-term). Dr. B will recommend exactly the right product during your consultation — and she won't push you toward a more expensive option than you need.

What's the difference between HA fillers and biostimulators?

HA fillers (Juvederm, Restylane) add immediate volume — what you see at the appointment is what you have. Reversible if needed. Last 9–18 months.

Biostimulators (Radiesse, Sculptra) trigger your body to make its own collagen over time. Results build gradually for 2–3 months and look more natural. Last 12+ months (Radiesse) or up to 2 years (Sculptra). Not reversible.

How many syringes will I need?

Most single-area treatments need 0.5–2 syringes. Lip filler: usually 0.5–1 syringe. Under eyes: 1 syringe total. Cheeks: 1–2 per side. Liquid Face Lift: typically 3–6 across the entire face. Dr. B will quote exactly during your consult based on what your face actually needs — not what generates the most revenue.

Does it hurt?

Most modern fillers have lidocaine (numbing) built into the product, so discomfort is minimal — patients describe it as pressure with brief pinches. Topical numbing cream is also available for sensitive areas. Cannula technique (which Dr. B uses for under-eyes and other delicate areas) reduces bruising and pain compared to traditional needles.

How long until I see the result?

HA fillers: immediately visible, with final result settled by week 2 (after swelling resolves). Biostimulators: gradual — Radiesse shows immediate placement then builds over 2–3 months; Sculptra builds gradually over 3–6 months across multiple visits.

What's the downtime?

Minimal. Possible mild swelling and bruising for 24–48 hours. Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and putting pressure on the treated area for 24 hours. Most patients are back to work the same day and look fully presentable within 48 hours.

What if I don't like the result?

HA fillers (Juvederm, Restylane) can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase. We rarely have patients who request this because Dr. B injects conservatively. Biostimulators (Radiesse, Sculptra) are not reversible — which is why we discuss your goals carefully before recommending them.

Can I combine fillers with Botox or other treatments?

Absolutely — and most patients do. Botox and filler treat different problems (Botox = muscle, filler = volume) and work better together. We coordinate timing with lasers, peels, and other treatments so everything layers correctly. Same-day combinations are common.

What's a "Liquid Face Lift"?

A multi-syringe filler protocol that addresses the entire face in one visit — typically cheeks, jawline, folds, lips, and sometimes temples. The result mimics what a surgical face lift achieves but with zero downtime and no surgery. Most patients use 3–6 syringes total. See our Liquid Face Lift page →

Who shouldn't get filler?

Pregnant or breastfeeding patients, those with active skin infections or cold sores at the treatment site, people with a history of severe allergic reactions to filler ingredients, certain autoimmune conditions, or anyone currently on blood thinners (timing-dependent). Dr. B reviews your full medical history before treatment.
