Restore your youthful glow with the Halo Hybrid Fractional Laser system. For more than 20 years, Dr. Promila Banerjee has been helping men and women in Illinois meet their ultimate aesthetic goals — and we've been performing Halo Laser treatments since 2014, longer than nearly any practice in Chicagoland.
Halo is the only laser that combines two wavelengths in one treatment — deep rejuvenation without long downtime.
Two wavelengths — ablative + non-ablative — in a single pass.
Dial intensity to fit your lifestyle — light or deep, your choice.
That signature radiant, refreshed look — visible within days.
Sun damage to fine lines, uneven tone to texture — Halo handles them all, on face and body.
In the past, you had to choose between a procedure that offered really great results but required a lengthy recovery, or a procedure with a fast recovery but marginal results.
Now with Sciton's Halo Hybrid Fractional Laser, you get great results with minimal downtime. The Halo Laser allows your clinician to customize your treatment to fit your lifestyle.
From your free consult to your follow-up glow check — here's the process.
30 min skin assessment with Dr. B
Settings dialed to your skin & goals
~30–45 min · topical numbing
Bronzing → flake → reveal
The "Halo Glow" arrives in days. Deeper improvements build over months as new collagen forms.
Skin looks slightly tan · mild swelling · sandpaper texture forming
MENDS (micro-dots) shed gently · light makeup OK after light treatment
Smoother · brighter · more radiant skin tone reveals itself
Sun spots fade · pores tighten · fine lines soften
Deeper plumping & lifting from below as collagen production peaks
"After years of sun damage, I wanted to minimize — or even reverse — the discolorations, especially on my chest. Dr. B did extensive before and after photos so we could clearly see the changes over time. The results have been incredible. I wouldn't trust my skin to anyone else."
"I felt like I always looked tired no matter how much sleep I got. I consulted with Dr. B and decided to start with three Halo laser treatments. She was understanding, never pushy, and explained everything. The 'tired look' is gone — and my smile lines softened more than I expected."
Most patients get the best results from a series of 2–3 treatments. Halo Members get the deepest discounts.
The honest answers Dr. B would give you in the room.
Halo is the world's first Hybrid Fractional Laser — it delivers both ablative (resurfacing) and non-ablative (deep collagen-stimulating) wavelengths in a single treatment. Most lasers can only do one or the other, which means you trade results for downtime or vice versa. Halo gives you both at once, with downtime measured in days, not weeks.
Most patients see beautiful results from 2–3 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Some skin concerns (deeper sun damage, more pronounced texture issues) benefit from additional sessions. Dr. B will recommend a specific plan during your free consultation.
We apply a topical numbing cream for 30–45 minutes before treatment, so most patients describe the actual treatment as a warm prickly sensation — uncomfortable but tolerable. The treatment itself takes about 30–45 minutes for the face.
A light treatment: ready for makeup the next day. A more intense treatment: a few days of bronzing, mild swelling, and sandpaper-like texture (the MENDS — micro-dots that gently shed by days 4–5), then your glow appears around day 5–7. Halo gives you the dial — you choose where on that spectrum you want to be.
Halo is safe for all skin types — including darker skin tones — when settings are properly calibrated. That calibration is where experience matters most. As the practice that's performed more Halo treatments than any other in the world, we know exactly how to set the laser for your specific skin.
Yes. Halo is FDA-approved and frequently used on the face, neck, chest (great for sun-damaged décolletage), hands, arms, and legs. Multi-area packages are available.
Makeup: light treatments → next day; intense → typically day 4–5 once MENDS shed. Exercise: hold off 24–48 hours (sweat irritates healing skin). Sun: strict sun avoidance and SPF 50+ for 2 weeks minimum — and ongoing daily SPF protects your investment.
Results from a Halo series can last years, especially with diligent sun protection and skincare. New sun damage and natural aging continue over time, so most patients return for a maintenance treatment every 1–2 years to keep the glow.
Halo is a powerful, customizable laser — and the operator's experience is the single biggest factor in your result. According to Sciton (the manufacturer), Halo Medicine™ performs more Halo Laser treatments than any other practice in the world. We're one of only six clinics in the country with a custom-built Halo, and we've been performing the treatment since 2014. That experience translates directly into better, safer, more predictable outcomes.
