Redness and flushing in the face can often make us look hot and embarrassed even when we're calm and collected. No need to cover up your rosacea, spider veins, or facial flushing any longer.
You've color-corrected with green primer. You've avoided wine, spicy food, hot showers, sun, exercise — all the triggers. You've tried gentle skincare and prescription topicals. And every photo still shows the same flushed cheeks, broken capillaries on your nose, that constant rosy glow you didn't ask for.
Here's what most patients don't realize: rosacea, spider veins, and persistent redness respond beautifully to the right laser treatment. Not in a year. Often in one session. The Sciton BBL we use is specifically designed for vascular concerns — it targets the visible vessels and cools the surface skin at the same time.
Most patients see noticeable calming after just one session — and with a series of three, the change is dramatic.
Start Calming It Down →Each responds best to different treatments. Knowing which form is yours is the first step.
Diffuse redness across cheeks and nose that comes and goes. Worse with heat, alcohol, stress, exercise.
Visible red or purple thread-like vessels on cheeks, nose, or chin. Permanent without treatment.
Red bumps, swelling, and acne-like breakouts on cheeks and chin. Often confused with adult acne.
Small visible vessels with branching pattern, common on nose and cheeks. Highly responsive to BBL.
Treatment fades existing redness — but managing your triggers keeps new flares from coming. Most patients have 2–3 dominant ones.
Most patients get a BBL series plus prescription topicals and a gentle skincare reset. Dr. B builds the plan based on which form of redness you have.
Simple, comfortable, no downtime — and visible results from the first visit.

Vascular · papular · combination
~3 BBL sessions · skincare reset
Vessels collapse · redness fades
Cost depends on which combination of BBL sessions, prescription topicals, and skincare fits your specific form of redness. Dr. B builds the plan first and gives you the exact quote at your consultation.
"I'd had broken capillaries all over my nose and cheeks for years. After ONE BBL session with Dr. B, half of them were gone. After two more, my skin looked clearer than it had in a decade. I stopped wearing color-correcting primer entirely. Best money I've ever spent."
"My rosacea was making me cancel plans because I'd flush at the worst times. Dr. B explained which triggers I could control and started me on a BBL series + a new gentle skincare routine. Six months in, my face is calm in a way it hasn't been since my 20s. I forgot what 'normal' looked like."

Our laser treatments use infrared energy pulses to absorb, heat and destroy unwanted broken blood vessels. While cooling the surface of the skin, heat is gently delivered to these vessels and capillaries, causing them to collapse. Gradually, the vascular abnormality tones down and often disappears.
Usually, three laser vein treatments are recommended to achieve the best results, but you will notice improvements with even a single treatment. Some patients with milder redness see all they need in 1–2 sessions; some with deeper rosacea benefit from 4–5 spaced over several months.
The treatment requires no downtime and is not uncomfortable. The BBL device cools the surface of the skin while delivering heat to the vessels below — most patients describe it as a warm rubber-band snap during each flash, easily tolerated without numbing cream.
None for the treatment itself. You may have mild pinkness for a few hours that fades by evening. Some patients see treated vessels darken before they're cleared by the body — that resolves within a few days. Back to normal activities immediately.
Honestly, no — rosacea is a chronic condition that can be exceptionally well-managed but not cured. The BBL collapses existing vessels (which don't come back), but your underlying tendency toward flushing doesn't disappear. With BBL + trigger management + the right skincare, most patients live with consistently calm, clear-looking skin year-round.
Topical prescriptions work well for papular rosacea (the bumpy/acne-like form). They don't address visible vessels or persistent flushing — for those, BBL is dramatically more effective. Many patients benefit from both: BBL for the vascular component, prescriptions for the inflammatory component. Dr. B will recommend what fits your case.
The specific vessels we treat are destroyed permanently — they don't return. However, your underlying tendency to form new vessels persists. With daily SPF, trigger management, and an occasional maintenance BBL (often once a year), patients hold their results long-term.
BBL works best on lighter skin tones (Fitzpatrick I-III) where vascular contrast is clearest. Medium skin tones (IV) can be treated with careful settings. Darker skin tones (V-VI) may need alternative approaches. As the world's most experienced Sciton provider, we know exactly how to dial in settings for your specific skin — and we'll be straight with you about whether BBL is right for you.
Avoid sun, tanning, and self-tanner for 2 weeks before. Stop retinoids and exfoliating actives 5–7 days before. Come in with clean skin (no makeup or lotion on the treated area). After treatment: use gentle skincare for 24-48 hours, daily SPF religiously, and skip workouts that cause flushing for the first day.
30 minutes with Dr. B. We'll figure out which form of redness you have, map out your triggers, and build a plan — with an exact quote at the end.
